Pangborn 2031: Submit an Expression of Interest

The Pangborn Sensory Science Trust is pleased to announce a new chapter in the history of the Pangborn Symposium!

Starting in 2031, the Symposium will follow a new long-term geographical rotation model, reflecting our ambition to strengthen the global representation of sensory and consumer science. This framework will ensure that different regions of the world have regular and predictable opportunities to host the Symposium.

As the first step in this new approach, we have decided to bring the 2031 Pangborn Symposium to Asia. The Pangborn Sensory Science Trust and Elsevier have selected Singapore as the host city.

We are now inviting Expressions of Interest from teams of 2–3 prospective chairs to lead the scientific organization of this event. Importantly, teams are not required to be based entirely in Asia, although at least one chair must be based in the Asia-Pacific region.

EOI submission deadline: March 12, 2027.

An online information seminar for prospective applicants will be held on December 1, 2026.
