Juyun Lim, Oregon State University, USA
Juyun Lim is a professor of sensory science in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University. She obtained her BS and MS degrees in Food and Nutrition from Ewha Womans University, and Ph.D. in Food Science with a minor in Statistics from Cornell University. She then spent two years at the John B. Pierce Laboratory and Yale School of Medicine as a post-doctoral associate before joining Oregon State University. The primary focus of her research is to understand sensory and cognitive mechanisms that underlie human flavor perception and the role of sensory perception in ingestive behavior. Her research also covers development and modification of sensory testing methodology. She received the Moskowitz Jacobs Award for excellence in research on the psychophysics of human taste and smell from Association for Chemoreception Sciences. She has been an active member of professional sensory organizations (AChemS, IFT, Pangborn).
