Dr. Armand V. Cardello is Emeritus Senior Research Scientist at the U.S. Army Natick RD&E Center, where he has conducted research in sensory and consumer behavior on foods and textiles since 1977. Dr. Cardello is Editor of Food Quality and Preference, sits on the Editorial Board of Journal of Sensory Studies, and is a fellow of the Eastern Psychological Association. He has authored/co-authored of over 185 scientific journal articles and book chapters on the topics of taste and texture psychophysics, sensory analysis of foods and textiles, hedonics, satisfaction, comfort, expectations, and emotional responding to consumer products. He is co-Editor of the book Military Food Engineering and is a member of numerous review panels for military and national/international research granting agencies. Dr. Cardello has been a member of the Pangborn Executive Committee since 2003, when he Co-Chaired the 5th Pangborn Sensory Science Symposium in Boston, MA (USA).
