Mei Peng, University of Otago, New Zealand
Dr. Mei Peng is a Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator in Sensory Science at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She has led the establishment of the Otago Sensory Neuroscience Laboratory. With a background in Cognitive-Neuropsychology, Dr. Peng uses combinations of behavioural, cognitive and neuroimaging approaches to study inter-individual differences in sensory processing and their links to pathological eating behaviour. She has led a number of high profile, multi-disciplinary studies that address a wide range of sensory-related challenges, such as the management of obesity and depression. Dr. Peng is a found member of the Asian Sensory Network, and an active committee member of the Australasian sensory research group, having recently chaired the 11th and 13th Australia and New Zealand Sensory and Consumer Science Symposium.
