Jonas Olofsson, Stockholm University, Sweden
Jonas Olofsson is a professor of Psychology at Stockholm University in Sweden, where he leads the Sensory Cognitive Interaction Laboratory (www.sci-lab.se). Olofssons research team aims to understand how smell perception is affected by prior knowledge and how it interacts with other sensory systems. These insights inform their research on how smell changes are indicative of early-stage dementia, how smell perception reveals social attitudes, and how smell can be recovered or enhanced through sensory games. Their research combines methods from psychology, computer science, neuroscience and linguistics, and is funded by the Swedish Research Council, the Wallenberg Foundations and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
