Ronan Symoneaux, L’Ecole Supérieure d’Agricultures, France
Researcher in Ecole Supérieure des Agricultures (ESA) since 1999, Ronan has developed the sensory activity of the GRAPPE research unit, which is based on both a Research and a Consulting component. His research focuses on the development and adaptation of sensory methodologies adapted for the description and liking of products from the plant sector (Fruits and Vegetables, Wine, Cider, Ornamental plants, etc.). He is particularly interested in the use of tasters’ comments but also in the consideration of product particularities (variability, seasonality…) in methodological development. In addition, he has developed expertise in focus group animation and other participatory approaches. These works leads him to question the place of sensory tools in the innovation process.
